Wifi network scanner mac12/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Using this program I was able to fine tune our homes two wireless subnet’s WiFI systems so they now do a better job of not overlapping the channel’s signals from all WiFI sources. Well, I did a good job, however “WiFi Explorer” did a better job showing me the spectrum that was being used by our neighbors, and our house. I purchased “WiFi Explorer” for iMac so I could see how well I did. Now using my background in networking I setup both wireless systems. On my subnet network off from main router I have my own WiFI access point for my “mother-in-law apartment” side of the house. Daughter-in-law requested a Disney Circle solution so I moved the Orbi mess network to her side of the house on DMZ’d connection off from main router so they are on a separate subnet. Use to have just one wireless Orbi WiFI mesh network for both sections of the house. I live with my son, daughter-in-law, and three grandson’s. I am the “mother-in-law” in our home ( see definition below * ). WiFi Explorer pays for its self in only a few uses, it is worth every peney and I am happy to see the developer continue to work on it and squash bugs. ![]() These are the kinds of insights you don’t get often and it was cool to see how that worked.įor work settings it has been useful to find down APs or research which channels to set devices too in a crowded building. One observation that I was having is that my laptop at times was not connecting to the closest Google WiFi AP, instead it was holding onto to 2nd floor AP even when the signal strength was 10-15% less. Being able to see all of the devices as they come online and their signal strength and other stats was really helpful and educational. I have used it recently to help install two Google WiFi setups at different houses with different layouts. WiFi explorer has been used for countless projects and it comes in handy for troubleshooting and optimizing. This is by far one of the most useful tools I have used and one of the reasons I even stick with Macs instead of going to Windows.

Scenes of note, starting in the first 10 minutes, include that of our man John pushing a competitor for his piping job into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Along the way, from John’s fake job with a piping company out of Milwaukee to covert operations in Luxembourg (love those offbeat locations, coloring the loopy feel of the enterprise), he will dip into his old life as a folkie, singing potentially incriminating lyrics about his life, suicidal instincts, and other surreal, alt-indie subjects. At the center is the wonderfully unlikely hero/anti-hero, the depressive would-be folk singer, John Lakeman (Michael Dorman, oozing laconic charisma, and just generally oozing and artfully moping), who has pursued his “fallback” gig - in undercover CIA work, with assassinations as a side specialty, following in the family business footsteps of CIA veteran father (Terry O’Quinn). Story matters, of course, in Patriot, but so do atmosphere, an implied forward/sideways momentum rather than a clear-cut, cliffhanger-goosed exposition structure, and a certain dark mystique that is all its own. On the plus side, though, these elasticized plot experiments take advantage of New TV’s fluidity and can also foil TV/film writers (and makers of dreaded movie trailers) indulging in the increasingly distressing sin of plot spoilage. Secondly, my dog, Harper, literally ate half of my notes (yes, she ate my homework, no doubt perturbed by the big, light-emitted rectangle in the living room robbing her of attention). My own travails - and perverse pleasure - in trying to keep the Patriot story straight was hampered by two specific problems: watching episodes sporadically while also checking out episodes of Fargo and Peaks made for a dizzy swirl of characters and plot-tracking fog. (Side note: As of episode six of Twin Peaks, I still don’t really know what’s going on and how the multiple plot strands will eventually come together, and that blissful confusion is part of the addictive beauty). Gotta love the eccentric plot mapping, characters who don’t necessarily come clean or readily explain themselves, and a dry, quirky humor mixed with occasional bursts of ultra-violence (or the hints of afterglow thereof), cohering into a particular and peculiar new brand of gothic dramedy on the tube.įor further practical consumer advice, I would suggest absorbing the labyrinthine Patriot creator Steve Conrad’s nine-episode series binge-style to avoid distraction. In that spirit: If you like TV’s Fargo and Twin Peaks, you might well like Patriot (full series now available on Amazon), which shares with those other private-screen classics certain endearing qualities (if you’re a person who likes that sort of thing). Amazon’s Patriot stars Michael Dorman as a folk singer/intelligence officer who goes undercover as an employee at a Midwestern industrial piping firm.Īs irritating and ultimately depersonalized as the interweb’s invasive personal recommendation pushiness is (“If you like this, you might like this … or this, or this, or this … credit card info here”), it can admittedly be helpful, especially in an age of overabundant options in our quest for products and cultural diversions. ![]() ![]() ![]() When your repository is forked, LFS objects from the upstream project are associated Your LFS object storage is the sum of the size of all LFS objects Queues a job to recalculate your project’s statistics, including storage size and.Associates the LFS object with the repository. When you add an LFS object to a repository, GitLab: Git LFS always assumes HTTPS so if you have GitLab server on HTTP you mustĪdd the URL to Git configuration manually.Any Git LFS request asks for HTTPS credentials, so we recommend a good Git.When SSH is set as a remote, Git LFS objects still go through HTTPS.Git LFS v1 original API is not supported, because it was deprecated early in LFS. ![]() GitLab requires version 1.0.1 or later of the Git LFS client. Madame Grès’ infamous need for privacy was fierce, and she changed her name numerous times throughout her life. “Christian Dior’s New Look or Gabrielle Chanel’s modern cuts were a world of difference compared to Grès’ classical sources of inspiration and intense methods of working,” Van Godtsenhoven explained. “Grès abhorred trends and very firmly placed herself outside of the fashions that were popular during her career,” Karen van Godtsenhoven, curator of an exhibition of Grès’ work at MoMu, Fashion Museum Antwerp told AnOther in 2012. When she reopened in 1944, she did so with a defiantly French window display of blue, red and white. Grès embodied the spirit in Paris at that time, believing that elegant clothing was not a trivial indulgence, but a wartime necessity that could lighten the roughness of life. In 1944, after flouting the Nazi’s fabric restrictions, Madame Grès, along with the likes of Cristóbal Balenciaga, was forced to shut up shop. Customers could only buy couture with special rationing cards, which were distributed to a measly total of 200 German women and 19,015 French women. Leather, for example, was entirely jettisoned and reallocated for use on German army boots Parisians were left wearing shoes of rubber or raffia with wooden soles. In 1941, during the Nazi occupation of France, Germany started rationing textiles as part of a continuing bid to destabilise the Paris fashion industry and transfer the city’s finest couturiers to Berlin. The creations are modern, refreshing, and covetable. ![]() Just last month Olivier Saillard worked with Martine Lenoir, a former dressmaker at Grès, to work her trademark pleats into reconstructed vintage white and lilac T-shirts, picked up for $5. The more blousy draping had echoes of Phoebe Philo at Chloé. A pleated Grecian number in tangerine could have passed for 1970s Halston, or even 1990s Versace. It was disorientating, but in a good way, emphasising the timelessness of her shapes. Her dresses were presented in modern oak and glass cases against the backdrop of the Musée Bourdelle’s mammoth yet muted sculptures cast in plaster and bronze. It was the 2011 exhibition Madame Grès: Couture at Work, that catapulted Grès back into the fashion industry’s consciousness. In fact, when the contents of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s Paris villa was auctioned off in 1998, gowns made by Madame Grès were part of the lot, alongside a box containing a tiny sliver of the couple’s wedding cake, which sold for $29,900. ![]() Marlene Dietrich, Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Wallis Simpson and Edith Piaf all wore her designs. As Madame herself stated in 1976: “Simplicity and elegance are never boring: you can never get enough of them, and one single detail manages to suggest that touch of gaiety only you have!” Her keen study of the body attracted the adoration of designers like Azzedine Alaïa, Yohji Yamamoto and Haider Ackermann, and 1990s pioneers of contemporary minimalism Calvin Klein and Jil Sander. Grès did not cut patterns, but instead hung and draped fabric over live models rather than mannequins, to ensure movement was fluid and comfortable and that the creation enhanced an individual’s silhouette. She spent her six-decades-long career honing a dedication to pleats and draping, which would become her signature style. With meticulous pleats and folds, she created dresses that mimicked the softly draped gowns carved in stone in ancient Greco-Roman sculpture. Madame Grès, the French couturier who was a formally trained sculptor, was not like other Parisian haute couture dressmakers. ![]() Muscle lesbian tumblr12/18/2023 ![]() ![]() Therefore, this journal entry also serves as an addendum to what still remains in the "Hall of Fame" gallery folder. Now let’s look at an example using the limit: In the above code block, since a limit was not passed the returned array contains a string with all the elements. The output of the above code snippet would be: Array If a limit value is passed, the return values would be based on that. If no limit argument is passed the string array would contain all the elements split by the separator. Zero - If zero is passed the element will contain only elements which would be the entire string.Negative Value - If a negative value is passed the last element will be trimmed off and the and the remaining part of elements would be returned as an array. In case the value is lesser than the number of elements in the array, the N-1th element of the string array would contain all the remaining elements. Positive Value - If a positive value is passed as a parameter, it denotes the number of elements the string array should contain.Limit - Optional, used to specify the number of elements in the string array.String - Required, the string that you want to split. ![]() Separator - Required, used to specify where the string should be split. ![]() Syntax of PHP explode: explode(separator, string, limit) It splits a string based on a specified separator that we pass as an argument.Īpart from this functionality, the explode method also has a third parameter, “ limit” that can be used to manipulate the number of elements in the array. If you don’t specify a separator, explode() won’t work as expected.PHP explode () is a built-in function that is used to split a string into a string array. Note that unlike implode() which works without the separator, the separator is very important in explode(). This article showed you how to use the explode() function in PHP. ![]() You can see that HTML and PHP got ptinted together because there was no space between them. If you type two different words together, they are treated as one: $str = "CSS HTMLPHP Java JavaScript" The explode() function looks at spaces in the string to split the string into an array. The index is not more than the limit of 2 specified. You can see that the first element takes an index of 0 and the rest of the comma-separated elements take 1. $str = "CSS, HTML, PHP, Java, JavaScript" For example, if you specify 2, all the strings would show, but the index won’t be more than 2. If you specify a limit in the explode() function, the index(es) won’t be more than that number. We are printing an array, so we can use print_r() Remember that arrays use zero-based indexing. If the string is passed into an explode() function, Hello takes an index of 0 in the array, and World takes an index of 1. Let's say that I have the string "Hello World". You can use the limit parameter to specify the number of arrays expected. So, just like the string split into an array, the separator is required. Unlike implode() which works even if the separator is not provided, the explode() function won’t work without the separator. The full syntax looks like this: explode(separator, string, limit) The explode() function takes in three parameters: Like the built-in implode() function, the explode function does not modify the data (string). Each of the characters in the string is given an index that starts from 0. The PHP explode() function converts a string to an array. ![]() AuthorWrite something about yourself.
